i got 2006 nissan maxima se and i asked one of you people what kind of bulbs i need to put in my car to make it look blue like lexury cars or the sl version you told me to get d2s 8000k bulbs so i did get them but they are diffrernt bulbs form the ones i have now should i get something like 9012 bulbs will those be better because the d2s are rounded that why they dont fid my car please help me

could yours be a D2R possibly? not sure on the newer maximas

According to the Lamp replacement guide your 2006 Max has low beam projectors with D2S bulbs. Standard is 4300k. And 5000k-6000k will give you a blue look. 8000k-1000k will give you a purplish color. As far as light output. If you go over 5000k you will lose lighting on the road. 5 out of my 8 cars are running HIDs and they are all running 4300k except my daughters camry that is running 6000K.

Here's her camry with 6000kAnd here's our G35 with OEM Hids. The top is HID and the bottom is the fogs with Halogen bulb.
