Headlights go up then right back down

Just got a 90 240sx and when I push the pop up switch the headlights go up then right back down. I've been searching for a couple of days on several forums and all i can find is ppl with them not going up or not going down any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Could be either the timer or the pop up switch. Do they work normally when you turn the lights on?

Also check the switch plug / harness for wiring modifications for the "sleepy-eyes" look. The switch pops right out of the cluster bezel.

Try operating the switch abnormally - like push it in then right back out. Sleepy eye mod will let you lower the lights a little at a time by tapping the switch repeatedly.

They work fine turning the lights on just when you push the pop up button they go up then back down I pretty sure it the pop up switch and I was actually going for the sleepy eye mod look when I found this problem. I ordered another switch to see if that's the problem. Thanks for the help I will post back when the switch gets here

Id say check that button. Mine did that and there was a frayed wire. Just respliced it.

turns out it was the pop up switch that was bad. put the new one in and everything works as it was supposed to. thanks for all the help
