just so you know it 9003 not 9004. they are an entirely different bulbdiego1212 wrote:well i just picked up some lights and when i was taking out the stock bulbs, they are h4's which are also practically the same as 9004'sSOOOOOif you get a bulb that is h4 or 9004, you're okay.
now a question for you:you want to install a whole DIFFERENT looking headlight as in the WHOLE thing comes off and you put something in, or just the bulbs? if it's the bulbs then...just what i said earlier. hope i helped some.
I would recomend you get the phillips xenons,A bit pricey but worth it.I Have Hella on mine right now but im gonna go for phillips soon as i got $400 bux or so.The xenons i have are off of a 2006 CL600 mercedes,I had them laying around but i dont like them due to the wrong bulb size and it supose to be for a projector/bi-xenon system and i didnt rig up the projectors so the lights all over. i aimed them as low as i could but it's still all over but not blinding.get the right kit...............bi-xenon h4.the temp i got is 4300k its really bright white.i hate the blue colors like the 6000k or 9000k(kelvin).Southernwayfarer wrote:What brands/models of new lamps do people recommend? Whats of with HIDs? What's a good bang for the buck option?
It must be a misprint of some sort. The H4, 9003, and HB2 are all the same bulb. There's just a different internal construction, but the same adapter. Midknight is correct. The 9004's are a totally different bulb.diego1212 wrote:it's funny you say that because..........on my bulbs they say h4..........9004will post pics soon.....................................................
Out of all the one's in your list, the Philips and the GE will be the best choice. The silverstars may not be all they are cracked up to be. It's only a 30% bulb and a lot of friends complain that they aren't any better than stock. The Philips (50%) and GE (60%) have a whiter and brighter light without dark spots and are equally as bright.Ninja40 wrote:I would like to get brighter lights for my V. Does anyone know the part number for the any of the following headlights for the V. The guy's at Auto Zone say that the car is to new and they don't have the number for it. Want me to take the bulb out and compare.
Silverstar Ultra's Philips Vision PlusGE Megalight
I'm not sure of the part numbers but you can easily find them by searching for "H4 GE Megalight" Or "H4 Philips Vision Plus". Both are pretty hard to find in stores Stateside. Rarely will you find them at a place like Wal-mart or Autozone. You will most likely have to order them online. Most people have ordered them from the UK without one problem. The Philips will run you about $35 a pair and the GE runs about $30. Don't touch the glass when replacing the bulb. It would be a pity to destroy a $15 bulb.Ninja40 wrote:What is the part number for the Philips and the GE
