Headlights Dont work, but highbeams do

Headlights Dont work, but highbeams do
My headlights are not working. Ive replaced the bulbs and they will work for a few weeks. But then they go oit again. My highbeams still work, just fine. I cannot find where the fuse is to see if it could be that before i spend money taking it to the mechanic. Any advice?

Not the fuse, fuses don't fail then go back to working again.
