so switched relays, fuses and even the the switch on the dash. Still they wont go down. i crank them down manually and they pop up if i press the switch or turn the headlights on via the column. so any ideas? all the wiring seems to be in place

a short on the hot or power side of the switch would be the cause of that, did it "randomly" happen?

scour the wiring harness for nics and pinches anywhere that there is damange to metal near the wiring harness, work your way from the lights back.

Mine does the same thing. I can not figure it out. I think its a short in the wiring because i have even changed my headlight motors and still no solution.

I recently found an open in a single wire that caused mine to stay up in the same way. It was to the right of the drivers side relay box (underhood) close to where the harness runs into the fender. Check those areas. Make sure to properly recover anything exposed. Gl.
