Headlights and tailights came on when unlocking with door handle?

When i was leaving from school tonight, i unlocked the passenger side door by the button on the door handles and my headlights and taillights came on... i was like wow i never seen that before. Then when i got home, i tested it again and it didnt happen... whats the deal with that? i love the auto lights on when unlocking the door.

mine does that every once in a while.... i cant get it to be consistent..... but it happens to me sometimes when i leave the lghts on auto.

that happened to me for the first time last night after i disconnected the battery to reset the computer.

What position was your headlight on auto?

Mine has always done that. It's similar to locking/unlocking using the FOB.

yea my lights are on auto but this was the first time the headlights and taillights came on and stayed on. usually only the yellow turning or running light blinks for a second.

Lol, this has never happened to me either....i just get the little 'beep' and the hazards flash

Only the turn signals go on and not the headlight or parklight. Your car might be haunted I wouldn't worry about it too much though.

mine did the same when coming from the passenger side first but at night of course with auto on, i thought it was weird, i didn't think too much about it, till you brought it up. but it happens every time i go to passenger side which is very rare
