headlight wont light up and kills my battary

my left headlight is out i changed the light, and checked all the fuses and still no luck. today it killed my battary around the headlight motor it makes a clicking noise every about every 30 secs. any one have any ideas

Persionally, i would be looking for a short.

check the wires as best as you can ( i know its a little hard.. they dont leave much room ) and see if you can see any exposed/dammaged wires.

after my first accident,

which raped and killed my right headlight, it was ticking. so i'm guessing the motor doesn't sit properly so it clicks back and forth. it was not a elec motor in my case, just an adjustment needed.

as for lights. i donno. wiring issues for sure.

Yeah I'm siding with the last poster's situation: sounds like it's mechanically jammed(if it is indeed the motor that's clicking, and not the relays). I would imagine that those H/L motors have auto-resetting circuit-breakers in them.(like power window motors do). There's an adjustment knob on the top of the motor assy: just pop off the cap. If you can't move them up manually with that knob, then they'r stuck fer shure.
