Hi, my headlight washers stopped working on my 1992 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. Does anyone know where the washer pump is located & where I can find a replacement pump?
Thank You,
Mark

Pump is located under the bumper cover passenger side(near the intercooler). Cover needs to be removed to access pump as it is located in front of the washer fluid tank. see link below. Not sure where to purchase one, have you asked the local Nissan dealer yet?

Depends on year. The 92 should be up front by the IC. in 93 IIRC the reservoir moved to the rear with the fill under the hatch and reservoir and pump under the rear bumper cover.

Im pretty sure only Canadian models had headlamp washer jets. All Canadian models have washer fluid tanks in the front.
My 90 has both front and back tanks, total of 3 pumps.
Rear hatch tank has one pump attached and feeds the windshield via booster pump attached to the front tank.
Front tank has another pump feeding the headlamp nozzles only.

Ahh, didn't know that, I stand corrected. I'm pretty sure that at the least some euro models, those sold in Nordic countries specifically would have had headlight washers too.

Yes that's probably true. I've never observed a euro model personally. Only hands on with USDM/CDN/JDM myself.

Hi, I own a 1992 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo. For a few years now my passenger side daytime running light keeps going out. I understand that it's the same bulb as the high beam light. When I put on my high beams, both lights work perfectly fine. My mechanic suggested it was probably the daytime running lamp module that puts the high beams on with around half the wattage when the engine is running. We found a spare module that he said was working fine in another Z car. He switched the module, and the running light would work fine for a while & then go out.It is very frustrating to find this 1 light seems to go on & off at will. Does anyone know of anything I can do to finally get this system to work properly? I'm totally frustrated as this has been going on for several years! Thanks in advance for any information you have to finally put this problem to rest.

Wiring diagram here 1992, page EL41/EL44, way down near the bottom of the PDF.

Looks like the RH hi beam links to the dimmer switch some how.

Hellow fellow Z owners...
Does anyone know where I can find a daytime running light module for my 1992 300ZX Twin Turbo? I need to get my running lights working to pass a safety in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. If you have one for sale or know where I can find one, please email me at: [email protected]
Thanks everyone...
Mark

Hi, for many years now I've had problems with my daytime running lights on my 1992 300ZX Twin Turbo. They both usually come on when I start the car but the passenger side just keeps going on & off at will. My highbeam bulbs are new & the high beams work well. Since it's very hard to source a replacement DRL module, I am considering disabling the DRL'S completely. Does anyone know that if I remove the fuse for the DRL, will my highbeams still work? Also does anyone know where the fuse is located? I have also bought what I thought were the most expensive & brightest low beam headlight bulbs but yet I find my headlights never bright enough & at times I find it dangerous driving at night & shouldn't have to continually put my high beams on. Any help in these matters would be greatly appreciated. I don't visit this site that often especially now that my car is in storage for the winter, so I can be reached through email at: mboddy007@gmail com.
Thanks for your help,
Mark

The Z32 headlights aren't the brightest to begin with and being low to the ground doesn't help when they are aimed properly because the Halogens just don't have the intensity to throw light far. You may improve the output by cleaning the inside of the projector lenses using a long cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. The other option is to get a retrofit HID kit but beware, if you go this way make sure you get a quality kit from a vendor/manufacturer that actually does testing on the output and has the rebased lamps built for the Z32 because the alignment of the focal point of the lens and the arc are crucial. The only great solution is actually opening the headlights and installing a D2S/R based retrofit, these produce incredible results but aren't easy to do.
