Hey guys and gals, ok so here's the story, i disconnected the headlight button and took it out of the car to change the bulb in it because it was burnt. so i finished installing the new bulb, put the button back together properly (i double checked and its put back correctly), reconnect the button in the car and the light works YAY!. Now heres the problem when i push the button my headlights don't go up, i can hear the relay clicking when i push the button but the healights dont move. i can turn the combination switch on the steering columb all the way and the headlights will open, then il push the headlight button on and turn the combination switch off and the headlights will stay open. now when there open i can push on the button to put the headlights down and it will work.
Now to some of you guys you might realize that this is the side affects of cutting the brown wire in the back of the switch, i know this because i did it before and it acted the same way. i checked the brown wire there is no loose connection nore do i think the wire is cut.
now my question is were does that wire go to and what controls it and what may have broken to cause these symptoms.
oh and i checked all fuses and they are good.
