I have a 2015 SL, and the headlights auto-level every-time i start it up. Not sure where you got your info from, but its wrong.followingnfront wrote:2015s dont have auto leveling so get headlights from a 2015...
It should be a relatively easy swap
No, he's partially correct. All 2nd gen Rogues built AFTER December 2014 do not have auto-leveling headlights.beh1977 wrote:I have a 2015 SL, and the headlights auto-level every-time i start it up. The performance will be nowhere near switching out the housings, and will probably be worse than stock and blind other driversMeynardo wrote:Didn't realize 2015's didn't have auto leveling anymore. Then I guess I was "partially" correct.
Anyway, the price and easiness of simply replacing the stock bulbs with LED' is much more appealing (at least it would be to me).
That is a fair point. But according to the ones that swapped their stock bulbs for LED's, they seem not to experience this issue, and the light cut off of the LED is even better. The performance will be nowhere near switching out the housings, and will probably be worse than stock and blind other drivers
Almost....in order to install the led headlights off SL model you will need to disconnect the splitting harness that goes to the headlight and plug the led headlight straight to the plug before splitting to H11, turn signal etc. I've done it last may on my Murano. Will get some pictures when I get home off of my computer.followingnfront wrote:It will bolt right up. If youve ever dealt with HIDs it will be simple.
When installing HIDs in place of halogens, you need to connect a wiring harness from the stock plugs to the HID ballasts, and then to the bulbs...
It should be easier with LEDs. Im not entirely sure how the OEM LED systems work, but if they have ballasts, it will be similar to using HIDs...
If they dont have ballasts, it should be plug and play

@Leo2005. So correct me if I'm wrong...By disconnecting the splitting harness, will I loose the ability of row of LED's to act as DRL's?Leo2005 wrote: Almost....in order to install the led headlights off SL model you will need to disconnect the splitting harness that goes to the headlight and plug the led headlight straight to the plug before splitting to H11, turn signal etc. I've done it last may on my Murano.
