headlight removal

what do need to know in order to remove them? do i have to take off the bumper? any info is much appreciated

I found it much easier to remove the front bumper to get the headlights off while installing my hid's. I'm almost positive it can be done without doing so but whatever. Take a look in the FSM it will show you exactly where the bolts are. There is one under the wheel well to take off the bumper.

You can get the fsm's on E-bay or find downloadable .pdf versions online, just google. Sometimes Mechanics at dealerships will take the DVD version and rip it and burn it and put them up on ebay. I got mine like that for $8 plus shipping and handling.

You have to remove the bumper to remove the headlights because the bumper clips onto the headlights... I think there's enough pics for you to get the idea either on my Sopwith Camel thread or my CarDomain...

If you need more than that, I can write up some directions for you...

actually i dont even need this info now.i was going to have my headlights painted but decided to save up for a carbon hood instead

... but you can do it yourself for the cost of a dremel and 2 cans of paint ...or borrow a dremel

...

you'd still have to buy the paint... ;oD

no, no, i was going to have paint eyelids on by my paint guy, and because we were going to do it 3 weeks ago so he already got the paint, and because i canceles on him i bought the paint anyways. so i have a pint of sapphir blue paint, ill probably do it later after i move in the next couple months...
