Ok whoever the **** designed the headlight assembly on the S14 needs to be ****ing shot, mutilated and served to a pack of Hyenas . I have never in my life had to take 3 hours to try to replace a set of low beams on a car. First you have the rubber surround that makes it next to impossible to get to the bulb itself, then you have the spring clip that holds the bulb in that will not let go without excessive use of a flathead screwdriver. you have to remove the whole ****ing assembly just to get a enough room to pull the rubber surround back and then squeeze a screwdriver in to remove one side of the spring clip. To top it all off, the socket is on tighter than a 200 dollar virgin whore and takes a decent amount of force just to wiggle it off the prongs on the bulbs, and pray you don't snap the prongs off because then you have try to wiggle them out of the socket.Oh and the headlight assembly, yeah it realllly doesn't want to come out of its place so you can replace the bulbs. I had to pray that I didn't break the grill while trying to remove the assembly. the High beam is easy, you just twist and pull, but the low beams, dear god they must have never thought you would have to replace the bulbs. Every other seat of headlight bulbs I've ever replaced either required you to twist and pull or remove 2 screws and wiggle out. Oh and one you have the new bulb in which took me like 30 minutes to figure out why the spring clip wouldnt go on (stupid *** me I had the effing thing upside down), you then have to reinstall the assembly, hoping to not break the grill in the process, and then push the socket onto the prongs. I hope I don't have to do that for again for a verrrrrrrry long time. Ok now that I got that out of my system...

wow, are you serious about it taking you 3 hours to replace your bulbs? ive never had a problem with anything youve described on my zenki. its all been straight up un-plug, remove bulb, and then put the new one in. you mustve gotten a cursed zenki. haha sucks for you .

yeah, i went through the same long time ago. when i first got my car. i upgraded to the silverstars and i did not know how to change the bulbs, so i ended up taking the whole housing off the car and changed the bulbs like that. but i helped my friend install new bulbs in his s14 and i knew what i was doing so it only took few mins.

I always take the headlight housing out when I change the bulbs... its so much easier and lessens the chance that I will touch the bulb or drop something.

Takes 10 minutes at most to take both housings out. Not hard at all.

It's true, its just what? 2 nuts and 2 screws and thats it. Takes me about 10 minutess to do both too. Its sooooo much easier with the housings out.

I remember the first time I tried to change out the bulbs. It took me quite awhile and then I ended up just taking out the whole assembly. With all of the issues I have been having with headlights recently, I can change out both bulbs and have everything back on the car in about 10 mins. Practice makes perfect.
