Other night I came out and started up the car and tried to turn on the lights, one came up and one was stuck, I got it up with my hand it was hung up on something, but only one headlight will go on. The highbeam light stays on all the time even though the lights arent on, and only one headlights works, and it stays on all the time no matter if the car is off and keys are out. I cant get it to shut off. Everytime I park my car I have to disconnect the battery so my battery wont go dead. I even unhooked the light where it plugs in at the back and the highbeam light still stays on. Althought my high beams never worked. any suggestions on what to do?

first are you saying you disconnect the head light and it stays lit??? if so i would say you got something super natrual going on!!! on the serious side what ever you disconnected up front reconnect it. try unpluging your head lamp swith at the sterring coloum and see if the lights go out. if so your switch is bad. if the lights stay on you got a cross short in your wiring harness.

well my Highbeam light still stays on, there is a 3 point connection where it plugs into the headlamp, I had 2 pieces of wire and was trying different combo's to see if it would work, and it did. I cut the bottom connection and the headlights are working normal, except the highbeam light stays on even though my lights arent on high beam. It even stays on when the car is off and key is out. Also my clock stopped working last week, my door dinger stopped working the same time the clock did, I checked all fuses and they are all good, checked the fuses inside the box by the battery, all good. I have no idea what is going on. But im searching for a new 240 right now and this one is going to be parted out or keep as a parts car. One more thing is the temp gauge always reads a tiny bit above the Cold line, even though my engine seems way hot. I tried to find a new temp sender piece but not auto parts around had the correct size for it.

And btw, I said the highbeam light as in the one that indicates your high beams are on in the gauge cluster, not the actual highbeam from the headlamp.
