Headlight problems... both turn on then 1 dies

When I turn on my headlights at night they work fine, but when I leave them on for about 30sec-1min the right headlights dies. I can turn it back on by turning on the headlights on and off, but I wanted to know how I can fix this, and if a mechanic and fix this?

I have to turn on my headlights by turning the switch to highbeams just for regular driving, but to use my highbeams I have to pull up on the hole stick. I bought my car this way, and I wanted to know how much a mechanic will charge...

here is a blind shot

switch the relays/fuse/light bulb with both sides and see if the problem goes to the other side, if it does it'll be easy to isolate the cause of the probelm
