Headlight Problem

So I was driving to work today (2000 Infiniti I30t) and I had my headlights on and working before I left my house. When I got to work I noticed that both of the low beams were really dim. They almost had a DRL look to them. I cant figure out what it could be and why it would do it all of a sudden on both of them.

So I took another look at it and there ARE DRL's in the headlights. The previous owner put aftermarket headlights on and i think thats where my problem is. The lights just wont turn on. High or low. I am thinking about trying to bypass everything and running new wires from the fuse straight to the bulbs.
