Headlight problem

so when i turn the switch for my headlights the lights come on but they stay down. Every once in a while they come up, and when i turn the switch back to the parking lights they come up sometimes, and when i press the light button they always come up. Is this a sign of bad motors or possibly a bad connection?thanks

if they always come up with the light button, it sounds like a connection problem.

check the relays for the headlights on the driver side of the engine bay

Hey if you find the solution please post on here what it was. I think I have the same problem. My headlights remain down when lit. I have to flick on the brights to get 'em to pop up. Also, I'm pretty sure the brown wire is grounded for the sleepy eye or whatever but I can't get that to work. I tried all sorts of different button combinations. Maybe we have the same problem lol.

If your lights light up but dont pop up try replacing the three relays in the driver side engine bay fuse box and there is one more in the passanger side.Also replace the light switch on the steering column or search on here there is a right up on a way to clean it.I replaced the 3 fuses (didnt change the single one on the intake side) and the switch my lights light up nice but only one pops up so ima change the other fuse and see what happens
