I have a 99 qx4 and recently my left headlight's low beam just stops working. I checked the bulb and it is okay. Unlike a bad bulb, the high beam indicator on the instrument gauge lights up.

Does anyone have any suggestion on what might cause this? Possible loss connector/open circuit? What’s the best way that I can test the connector?

I order a pair of 9004 female connector from ebay and the next step is to switch out the connector.

Thanks.

I had the same thing happen about a year ago. Turned out it was the head light control module.

Do you know where is the module located and how much was to replace it? Thanks..

I'm curious to where the thing is and what the part number is...

I think what Mariach was talking about in the above post was the Daytime Light Control Unit (DLCU) which is only equipped on Canadian R50's (since he's from Ontario). This is a common issue with Canadian R50's and replacing the DLCU usually remedies the issue.
