they shouldnt change anything for the headlights. its true that they are not putting as much current back through the ground, but its also true they arent sucking as much power from the battery in the first place. in any case though, they are grounded pretty far from the head lights iirc, so it shouldnt make any real difference.Lisa1019 wrote:Just replaced all my interior lights with SMD 9 LEDs bulbs. I am wondering are those LEds going to decrease the headlight output? The LEDs have a different resistance than the stock bulbs. Any possible the LED replacement would decrease the voltage/current flow into the headlight ?
I would say anything drawing more current than the stock one will decrease the current flow into the headlight and other components since the battery output is fixed. Yea, those Leds may just too tiny compare to other electronic componentsRe: Headlight output decreased after replaced LEDs?

this is correct, and this was in my original post. thats why they wont effect the battery, your not adding any more lights to a car, your replacing them with lower wattage bulbs... so if anything your headlights will be brighter lol.DReed86 wrote:Not 100% sure on this but I think that LED's draw less Watts that the stocks????
We can assume that everyone here who's modded their coupes with LEDs, with the exception of Phenom78, will not be outlining their coupes with LED like the electric cowboyinsaneturbo13 wrote:..of course it also depends on how many leds your putting in.
Each SMD LED has 9 LEDs (in my case) and a built in resistor, maybe some capacitors. are those things going to build up a higher wattage? I got 10 of them in my car...this is correct, and this was in my original post. thats why they wont effect the battery, your not adding any more lights to a car, your replacing them with lower wattage bulbs... so if anything your headlights will be brighter lol.

Do you have a link to the leds you put in?Lisa1019 wrote:Each SMD LED has 9 LEDs (in my case) and a built in resistor, maybe some capacitors. are those things going to build up a higher wattage?
