hey, since i dont know s*** about wiring, i figured i'd ask you guys. my passenger side headlight is out, so i tried swapping bulbs and its still out. occasionally itll work but rarely. ive narrowed it down to be a wiring problem. anyone else ever have this problem or know of where the problem in the wiring might be. i dont even know where to begin let alone how to fix this. i kinda need my headlight to work since my highbeams already dont work, but i think thats due to the switch in the steering wheel hub. do you think this headlight problem might be due to the same reason? like i said, im clueless and any suggestions would help. thanks

first, id check your connection. make sure its clean and tight, you know, good connection. then id check to see if you have corrosion on your fuse or ground. another step would be to follow/trace your harness to see if theres and broken wires, corrosion, parts that have worn thru, stuff like that. start with that

Headlight switch.

They get carbon build-up and the contacts don't make contact very well. New ones are about $70 so I've had to clean out mine like twice now. There have to be like 100 threads on this, so try searching for it.

In a nutshell, pull the switch unit out of the steering column and carefully break off the white plastic cover. Try and get it off so you can get it back on later. Get some small strips of sand paper and put them in between the contacts, close them, and pull the sandpaper out. Do this for both top and bottom contact several times. Your lights should work for another couple months at least.

^ what he said.

This'll keep your lights going for a while, but eventually you'll need a new switch. Cleaned my contacts 3x before it finally didn't work anymore.
