Headlight motor problems

92 240sx VertWhen off, my left light is up and the right one is downWhen on my right one is up and the left one is down

What happened? I have tried unplugging it and putting it in position, then re-plugging it, then turning the lights on. it only returns to the problem conditionHow do I get it synced up so they both do the same thing again?

try the fsm in my signature. sometimes you have to disconnect battery.

just my luck, the manual that is ultimately linked for 240sx KE24DE is suspended for some reason, I'll try the disconnect though.

u didnt take the arm off the motor did you? cuz you can try putting the arm on 180degrees

TRy this, turn off the lights, disconnect the motor to the one that is up, turn lights on, and reconnect motor to power then turn lights off and see if that makes both go down.

the first link is working now. with the other link, it is available on a revolving basis. they change which manual can be downloaded on a revolving basis. You have to check throughout the day.

I could not find anything in fsm on this problem. Have you done anything to these lights. if wires backwards you would cause this problem.

When I do this, I plug it in it simply returns to the previous condition, I'm still trying to get ahead of homework so I can try some of the other suggestions
