Headlight Malfunction

I had one of my headlights go out and the display read Headlight Malfunction. I replaced the lights and the error still shows. I tried disconnection the battery but message still comes up. Any Suggestions!

the only thing i can think of is disconnect the batt for a longer period, or use an oem rated bulb. Qs finicky about its llights. if its not oem or better it could possible burn/melt the socket.

I would definitely check the sockets. The next step would be checking the output from the relay cluster near the under-hood fuse box. They're not really prone to failure on the Q, but I think I've heard of it once before...
