most people would tell you to search but im not gonna be a search whore so i'll tell ya cuz its quick and easy, i turned my oven up to 360* f and once it was up to the right temp i stuck my headlights in for about 7-10 minutes, as long as you take off the clips before you stick it in it should be really easy, jus comes right apart, to put them back together just reheat them but it doesnt have to be as long maybe 5 minutes if theyre still pretty warm and tada you took apart ur headlights lol hope it helped

I baked mine in the oven at low temperature (around 200deg f) for about 10 minutes...

After the housing warms up, the glue is like tar.. just pry apart.

sounds better than the hammer idea. I have to restore some R30 headlights so that's a useful tip.

don't you have to HEAT up the oven and then Turn it OFF? and stick the head lights in and just let it sit there? or still have the oven On?

Hey guys thanks for the help. I set the oven at 300 and once heated put hte headlights in there for 7 mins. came apart great... BUT me being the smartest guy in the world left it on the metal grill thing and it melted part of the bottonm of the lights. and also melted some other parts ofhte housing. BTW lesson learnt hard way, 4 minutes @300 work too with a lot less melting.
