Headlight lens cover replacement - worth it?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/203400041262. This is a link to a lens cover replacement. Less than half the cost of headlight

My 2008 EX35 has a yellowed lens on passenger side. I have tried several polishes, but none really restore to clear. The tasty deer I hit on my way to go deer hunting in WI took out my drivers, so I’ve a bright new one that makes the other one look especially bad. Rather that the 550 or so for a new headlight, I wonder if anyone has tried this solution? Just the lens? Requires some effort apparently with a heat gun to remove and replace the lens. Any input would be appreciated.

I do not recommend It. There were reports on bad headlight covers from China.

What he said. Buying Chinese-made parts is a hit or miss.

Thanks y'all. I'll forgo the cover replacement. Anyone have success with restoring a lens to satisfactory condition? Seems like my lens has micro fractures through out.

Hazing is one thing, even if it's inside you can bake-off the lens and buff it out. Spider-webbing is a different story, that's pretty much fatal.

Anyone have the best idea on how to restore a lens? I could deal with the spider-webbing, but the dinge I could like to clear off. Products? Techniques?

Someone posted this link elsewhere. About $430 per headlight, better than other higher cost options:
