When the auto headlights go on, all dash lights disappear, including compass and AC temp lights.

Two different times while driving to work, when I go under an overpass, the lights dim but then all of a sudden the dash lights, AC and compass lights disappear. It looks like I may have had the fog lights on but would that cause it to dim that much? I have to turn auto off to get them to come back on.

Thoughts anyone?

It wasn't off or all the way down, but I did brighten it a bit more - could this be a possible electrical issue? I hope not - not sure why when auto is off, they are fine; just started happening this week from what I can tell. Should I just turn auto off?

What happens when you just the turn the lights on normally, does it still dim the cluster lights all the way out?

I'll have to try that - they are still on auto right now. When I leave this evening, I will turn off auto and just turn them on the regular way and see what happens when I go over under passes - will let you know.
