Hello... first time poster. I have a 2007 G35x, and I have a headlight issue. It started about two weeks ago. I noticed that the left headlight wouldn't come on right away. It would flash on for a split second, then go out. It would take maybe 7 tries of flipping the switch, and then it would finally stay on. This affects the high beam as well. I did notice a lot of condensation or other moisture inside the headlight, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

Now the headlight doesn't come on at all. I really don't know much about headlights, so i thought I'd have to bring it somewhere to be fixed. Then it occurred to me that maybe it's a small component that got fried when it got wet. I thought I'd post here with the hope that someone could diagnose this right off, based on my description.

Thanks for any help. I really don't want to spend a bunch of money bringing it somewhere!

At best the bulb
At worst the bulb and the ballast
If you drove thru deep enough water to touch the bulb there is the root cause

Good luck

Thanks. No, I didn't drive through water, but there is water in the headlight. i can see it, sort of looks like condensation. I suspect there's a leak in seal somewhere, as I never drove through water. Probably from rain. How can I learn online how to check the seals, and replace them? Thanks!
