headlight igniter

I can't figure out what is going on with my stock hid's, they turn on but then go off. There is a sizzle sound when they are shutting down. I replaced ballasts, multifunction switch, relays, all fuses are good. Question - Is there a separate igniter? If so can I change it out, is it the pigtail assembly that attaches to the ballast? Thanks

The problem apparently was the bulbs, I didn't think the bulb would light up if it was bad,,,,,I was wrong.

Glad you figured it out.. I would not have expected a bulb issue at first either as they seem to be on different supply circuits.

But I was thinking that they share a common ground point and maybe that was getting rusted/corroded/broken or just loose
