headlight help please. simple question couldnt find anythin on it though

hi my head lights will go up when i press the button on the dash, but if i press it again, they wont go down. what does this mean is wrong? i'm thinking its the motors is bad, because i have been dealin with this for a while now and its getting to annoy me. and also its both head lights and the only way they go down is if i put them down via the little brown twisty cap thing.

The headlights should go down when you turn the headlight switch off via the turn signal stalk on the steering column. Check your owners manual if your still unsure.

well i know that already. but what im saying is that even if i turn the lights off they won't go down. it only goes up and that it.

try replacing the stalk. that fixed my headlight problem... but you could also swap the relays around. there are 3 under the intake box. if that changes the problems to something else, one of them is bad. its all just trial and error man. good luck.
