Hay guys, so here's something i know nothing about.

I'm looking to upgrade my highbeam bulbs. The stocks aren't bad but i think its time to go for something a little brighter. I could do the Honda owner thing and run down to pepboys to grab my self some of those blue, cool looking universal ones but..........I don't own a Honda. I want something that's actually going to be brighter, not just look cool.

I was considering a HID conversion kit (for the brights of course), but i don't really feel like hacking up my wiring, don't get me wrong, i know how to wire, i just don't want to start messing around with my 350z, my 240's another story.

That being said, It seems like i am searching for a brighter drop-in replacement for the oem highbeam bulb, and i don't mind going to pepboys if those bulbs actually going to make a difference as far as brightness is concerned.

I think the High beam bulb is an H1, can someone confirm this?

Go here and put in your car info and it will pull up a list of your bulb sizes for your headlights, brake lights, map/dome lights, etc. :

Sylvania Silver Star or Silver Star Ultra's are very bright and white and actually improve side and distance visibility. You could also go with PIAA just be prepared to pay more for them because of the name. You can get some good deals on PIAA bulbs on e-bay just make sure you're buying from a reputable seller. The Silver Stars are just as good as PIAA, cost less, and you can get them at most auto part stores. Also if you keep an eye out they sometimes offer coupons for $10 the Silver Stars you just have to look through the Sunday paper ads for your local auto stores like AutoZone, PepBoys and such. I used both brands and they both work great. Good luck to you.
