headlight/fog light lense question...

hey all, i have a 2001 qx4 and i'm trying to do a clear turn signal/corner marker conversion. sufficit to say, it's much more difficult than on the previous gens because the headlights are one piece. that being said, how do i go about replacing the orange on the corner of the headlights and the turn signals in the fogs, i've seen them done before; it's all over cardomain.com. i read somewhere it requires dissassembling the fog light assembly by sticking them in the oven so that the sealant around the front softens and removing the front cover is possible. anyone know an easier way or have a detailed write-up on how to do that? i've been bitten by the mod-bug lately, after a hiatus for a while. anyone know? thanks!

I've done this on other cars so I know that sticking it in the oven really works. It really isn't that hard. preheat the oven to the lowest temp setting and stick the housing in. After about 10 minutes take it out and separate the glass from the housing. After you open everything up you'll see you just have to get rid of the amber. Put everything back together and use some extra silicone goo stuff this way you don't get condensation.

FYI You can also use a heat gun instead of the oven.
