Headlight exterior lens cover replacement

I just purchased a 2008 m45 and my exterior headlight lens cover is scratched and i need a replacement. Any idea where i could one and cheaper the better? Is oem the only ones that make one?

check ebay!! i just found several HL for sale...not cheap but cheaper than going to the dealer...also have you tried using a plastic polish like a head light lens restorer? i just had a friend polish my headlights with a plastic polish...looks like new!! another thing can you post pics so we all have a better idea of how bad your problem is?

I agree, you probably jut need a headlight restorer. There are numerous brands on the market - 3M, Meguiar's , etc. Or you can just buy 1500/2000-grit sandpaper then wet-sand the lens (don't rub too hard and always keep it wet with a water sprayer). After wet-sanding, the lens may appear cloudy. Wipe it dry then apply wax/polish to restore clarity.

I found that the 3M kit works great. It is something like $30 and comes with everything (except a power drill) you need for both headlights.
