East Bear makes something like it. Theres another company that makes the same light as the one in NSFU but I forgot what the company was called.

ooo a roof scoop how functional.

Anyone do this East Bear conversion? I cant imagine it performing better than stock (in terms of lightning) and certainly doesnt look legal.

Idk, it would look good with some lexan covering it, but the way it is now is just blech

And flushmount hid's would be awesome.

I like the Initial D arcade game! It's fun but costs a buck a game.

OK, the East Bear conversion absolutely sucks right out of the box. The lights that it comes with are actually driving lights, not headlights. If you search around here, zilvia, and freshalloy you'll see that this is a relatively universal opinion. Now, if you are truly industrious, it is possible to retrofit Hella H9 modules into the East Bear units with a D2S upgrade. I believe someone on freshalloy did this some time ago and it looks really, really nice. Of course, you will have to chop into the rad support and bracing behind the headlights. If I didn't live in such a piss poor neighborhood, I would have taken this route instead of preserving the pop-ups.

Hope this helps,

-kouki

Yes, you could try to recreate the AbFlug flush headlight conversion if you want. I know that someone on this board has already done this and it looks OK, I did a search and the only pic I could find is really, really small but it will give you an idea of what it would look like. To do this, you'll have to create a mounting plate, cut into the rad support and area behind the headlights, and then fabricate your own lexan covers. As for the lights, I'd recommend using the Hella H9 modules as they have the best bang for the buck.

Here's the crappy pic:
