I am in the market for a G35 coupe right now and I know that the 05-06 coupes have the projection low beams on them that the older models don't. I like this headlight better but if I can save money by purchasing an 03 and just replacing the original headlamps with that of an 05-06 than that would be in my best interest.

I need to know if this is possible...and if there is anyone who has done this! Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Before I posted this thread I did search the G35 forum for any titles with "headlight" or "conversion" with no luck...it really would have been helpful for you to perhaps provide a link to any thread on this topic. It's great to hear that it is possible though...all I need to know now is if I would have to do any rewiring or buy extra parts to complete the installation.

Is it possible to use brighter (stronger) lights on the 05 G35 lights to improve the night driving? Or is it just going to be that way unless i put projector headlights?***I can barely see anything at night with my 05 lights.

Do you drive with your lowbeams and fogs on?

You might also verify that your lights are pointing in the right direction.

I haven't looked, but there should be some adjustability.

Yes, on my 05 headlights i use both low beams and fog lights at night buts its not as clear as the 06 headlights. The 06 headlights low beam alone shows farther than mine as well as clearer.

***If i add higher wattage lights would it help for my night driving on my 05? Such as PIAA D2R?

You can, but my experience with higher wattage bulbs is that they start causing problems...Like melting harnesses and wires.

I think I went through 3 sets of harnesses on my I30 before I finallly gave up and down graded to a lower wattage bulb. I miss those Luminics.

Just go get the projectors.

Now I have a stoopid question...On the G35 coupe headlights, the lower lights (next to turn signal) are the fog lights, right?? and they take H1 bulbs if I am not mistaken... because when i get my G35, I want quad projectors (as seen in the image). 12000K for headlights and either 4300K or 6000K for fog...

They turn white because they stabilize.

If you want your headlights to be blue then you would have to get higher temp bulbs. I think OEM is 4300k. Get something higher than that.
