Headlight clear paint

Has anybody tried to protect there headlights from glazing?
I'm trying the Krylon fusion clear. Just sprayed the headlights and they look pretty darn good. Once I get my brush guard off i will sand with the 3m headlight kit to remove the fine sctaches and then respray them. The krylon says in 7 days the paint will be chip resistant. I will keep you posted.
I could use auto paint but i figured i would try the Krylon paint since its only $5.00 at wal-mart.
