The headlights on my i30 are very badly yellowed and fogged up. It seems that it is coming from the inside of the assembly. Any suggestions on a specific plastic cleaner?? Theyre are several all over the internet. And also does anyone know if it actually works?? Because the ones i looked at say you apply it on the exterior of the light. I dont want to buy a new pair of headlights. Any help will be useful thanks.

As far as a cleaner, I use Meguiar's. But you have moisture on the inside of the lights. So I'm not really sure what to do. I've got some ideas, but their 1/2 cocked ideas that need refining. I'll post up tomorrow if someone hasn't given you a solution.

I've used Meguiar's Plastix on the Maxima (which didn't really need it) and my old Ranger (which REALLY needed it). Huge improvement on both. Gets rid of oxidization nicely.

If your lights have moisture on the inside, which means the seal has broken, your best bet is to suck it up and buy new ones. Poorly sealed headlights can cause headlamps to burn out prematurely, and will just end up fogging up again. Of course you could just do what I did and re-seal the headlights with 5 minute epoxy. Looks horrible, but it's a lot cheaper than a new headlight housing.
