i am still working on the headlight as of the moment waiting for polish to dry up a little then wipe off. ill post pic in an hour with the final results. there is no yellow and feels like rust anymore looks almost brand new and only cost me $15 better then paying $200 at the shops.

Looks nice! On the Cadillac I used sandpaper and polishing compound, progressively going from 400 to 1200 grit. My understanding is that coastal cities have frequently yellow plastic lenses.

Did you just polish it with a rag? How long did it take?

i used sandpaper and polish. it took about 3 hrs because it was really ruff. i put hot water then at the end after sanding the polish. polished it about three time to make it really shiny

now get the vinyl film to protect your hard work.

not sure if they make it for the F50, but you can buy squares of it to cut and fit.

There are a few of the kits out there, but DOT has determined armoring headlights is unsafe.

Thank you for protecting us, big brother.

thanks! gonna have to do one more session because it was badly damage and i miss the side of the headlights a little then it will look brand spanking new =). give it a try. don't go to pepboys and buy the kit. go to homedepot get 1000,1500,2000,2500 sandpaper and go to the dealer and get plastic polish and thats all you need =). saves you money

Is it the heat from the lights that make it look dull? If not what makes them look like that?

Oxidation due to exposure to sunlight. This is why glass headlight lenses are superior. Glass won't oxidize like plastic does.

Hey buddy, look at my post below. I didn't even use all of the sandpaper everyone else used and I have great results using PlastX. I deleted some of my pics but you can still see before and after though. Enjoy...zerothread?id=391697

I purchased it from Wal-Mart in the car section. It's a great product for $5! I just did my girlfriend's Solara; she loves the "new look" of her car plus she can see much better at night.
