I'm working on my Mother in Laws' 94 Altima. It's totally bone stock & in Cherry condition with the following exceptions:
Headlight-on chime stopped working (If it had one, she's drained the battery twice recently).
Tachometer stopped working (may stay @0 or hang @1500).
Backlighting behind the Heater controls is not working. (oldest issue) Bulb#'s & Access info please.

BTW I fixed the Brakelight-stays-on issue from the info on this site. (Broken plastic pieces @ pedel switch)
Thank you very much for your help & Happy Thanksgiving.

welcome toNICO. I'm surprised that as a classic datsun owner you haven'tfound usbefore?

tach: check pins 35 to 38 at ECU, look for voltageproportionaltoRPM. if good, need to replace tach (or just get a used gauge cluster, since your chime problem is likely the little doo dah on the back of the cluster anyway).

bulbs are standard 12v micro's--can even buy at radio smack. don't recall the number--look at goody q45 posts in the q45 forum,he has anoldpicture ortwo.

U13 is a highly reliable beast with proper care. watch the distributor.
