What work's involved in installing the three things above? How many hours for the struts, and how do i do the rest (havent got a shop manual yet) Also, my headlights are yellowed (the outer lenses, not the bulbs, which i'm replacing) my friend suggested some super-fine (supa-fiiiiine) sand paper to clean up the headlights, but i'm afraid that i'll just put a haze on it that wont come out...thanks and i hope i stuck this in the right placeast

is that strut bar or struts??

for the headlights.. use nailpolish remover.. works wonders. just make sure you don't get it on your paint..

shifter boot is easy.. once you get the shift knob off.. htat is the hardest part. that thing is glued on.. so good luck with that!

Those are a little more complicated and take some mechanical knowledge, be sure to go to Sears or something and get yourself a good MacPherson-type Spring compressor so you dont end up eating the spring. You might look at buying some springs off ebay if your going to have them out for the new struts.

BTW, Black240, were you still interested in that Connecting Rod Clock? Let me know... [email protected] or RickMer2 on AIM

Mechanical knowledge, i can probably do that, as long as it doesnt take a frikin genious :) I'm in the process of rebuilding a '65 beetle from the ground up, so i'm getting better. I saw the walkthrough, but it doesnt really do anything for me till i look at the car on stands. Spring compressor, can do. :) we'll see, i've found a set of struts (kyb) for 320ish, 120 of that's the rears (i'm doing the rears first, unless i find fronts cheap enough, since the rears are worst)asty

"nailpolish remover"Sweet! I'll have to try that. I find the yellowing very annoying.

On an S14, how would you even split the headlight cover apart, i mean after you get the whole headf light unit out opf the car. I thought the casing was like siliconed together. This is all great info on the little things. But i would like to know how you would even begin to get that case apart.
