Thanks for all the info.. great source here....looks like someone waxed the car ('02Q) w/ buffer and hit the headlights too w/ buffer causing swirl marks.. not horrible but certainly noticeable. I tried an aftermarket product to remove fading from PepBoys.. (a buff pad that you spray water on and use drill to remove swirl marks), however this product did not work.. Am I out of luck here? Marks are liveable but as I do try to keep my car looking good.. this is about the only drawback to the look of the car..Thanks Haggis

Get yourself the Novus Plastic Polish three step system. Works great on headights! I once took the clear lens for a junkyard instrument cluster from a heavily scratched dirty piece of junk to a like new looking lens with the stuff.

Unfortunately the best cleaners cannot deal with plastic lenses forever, eventually you will have to replace the light housings every 10 years or so, if you desire the as new look. Lexus are worse

Depends on amount of sand particles in your local air and the average speed you drive to cut them into the plastic. Ozone changes the transparentcy and color.

Early Q were glass and I bought a new set to swap at 10 years [$1200] and have a low mileage junk yard set now for the next 10.

So many things to replace and so little time...............why I warn to always have $3,000 available for yearly M&R.

bought the product.. I think the previous owner had a carwash shop wax the car and prob accidently (joe blow mexican) use the buffer..Again.. the buffs are not horrific.. however.. night time when ur taking the girls on a date shows the scores..Will try the Novus product..Thanks again!Haggis....Quick question for you tire guys..I posted b4 under another topic about tire wear... given an open budget on '02Q tires.. which ones are the best for such a big car.. If anyones ever driven up beyond Frasier Park into Pine Mtn Club over to the 133 then they know where I am.. this is Supercar mountain territory..Almost got beat by a '05 Galant .. lolI was thinking Michelin Pilot Sport?thanksHaggis
