I have the 3.5SE with premium that came with the HID's. I LOVE them, but i find myself getting flashed at constantly by other cars and i only have my low beams on.

I know my lights are bright but they cant be THAT bright, i mean they are as-is from the factory, how could they be that bad? I am now assuming its my alignment, except i have NO idea how high the beam should be from how far away?

What I'm looking for are 2 number, the distance of an object, and the height of the beam on that object. What is the 'standard' (if there even is one?)?

Behind the headlight enclosure, i believe theres 2 beige-ish wheels you can turn to aim the lights higher/lower.

I know thats where you actually adjust them from . . . my question was more, how high off the ground should the light reach from how far from the front of the car . . . looking for distance and height from the rediculous paint below lol

the distance between the wall and is 25ft, and the height of the beam 2 inches below the center of the light headlight.

That's good info Spock...I wonder if the headlights need to be adjusted after we get them retrofitted with projectors or does Brandon already do that for us so it's a plug and play for us

OP,

I had that problem a ton after I put my stereo in. The weight in the trunk was causing the car to sit with the nose up (I desperately need Eibachs) and the beams were flying high. In fact, they are now aimed as low as they can go (they might be a bit too low, but they work fine for me). I think from the factory our lights come aimed a bit high.

I would double check anyway (no offense to Brandon). I'm sure all of our cars sit a bit differently, so you never know how close his calibration will be. Plus, it only takes a few moments to actually adjust (the hard part is finding a 25 ft long flat surface with a wall at the other end).

Hey guys,

Do I have to take the headlights out in order to adjust the low beam? I want to adjust my low beams a little higher because after installing eibach springs, the light beam is kind of low. I looked today but couldn't find the wheel anywhere.

many thanks.
