headlight alert

On my 1996 Q45, the ringing notice that my headlights are still on after turning off the ignition is no longer functioning.

Any ideas on where to start to correct. Cant seem to find info on this site.

I corrected the headlight chime issue. There is a little rubber button thing on lower driver door frame that releases when door is opened. It was stuck shut by some gunk.

Thanks for posting the resolution, sometimes it's the easiest things that can get overlooked.
Those rubber boots are still available and do sometimes get "caught" on the switch plunger. Also, for future of anyone searching/reading this thread--don't forget that the switch needs a good ground.
It is the actual single mounting screw that provides the ground path.
