Hey, my headlights aim is all messed up and the adjuster screws don't seem to be doing anything. The left is pointing up and to the right (high enough to see in the trees) right is pointing down and to the left ( 5 feet in front of the car)

I just installed h4 conversion lenses with HID's and that didn't help any except to brighten it up a bit. The adjuster screws don't seem to be doing anything and they are all messed up, one is all the way in , 1 is way out and when i screw it doesn't seem to move. i can't even tell which way to turn the screw to move the headlights in the direction I want.

Can someone tell me which way to screw the screws to move the lights up/down and also if anyone has dealt with this before, how did you fix it?

ThanksSean

alright...(assuming s13)

if your looking at the passenger light

screwing the outside one in pulls the light to the left, and screwing it out pushes it back towards the right

drivers side is is the same but backwards, in pulls to the right, out pushes to the left

the one on the bottom screwing it in pulls the headlignt down and screwing it out pushes it out towards the sky

i first lined mine up so they looked even in high and spacing against my garage door then move it out to the street and adjust it from there, cut your lights so you arnt blinded when you adjust them, your not going to visibly see a huge differene in the acutal bulbs

good luck, if the screws arnt working right id say get new ones?

Mine is doing the exact sma ehting after an H4 conversion. Im not sure but there might be a retaining clip(plastic) behind the screw in question, which is the EXACT same one I'm having trouble with. If you look behind the screw to aim it left or right you can see the whitish plastic clip, but I didnt see on for my up/down adjustement screw. I never checked to see if it had one on the other headlight...because I was at work and my break was over.

i actually got mine working , i guess the springs etc are ah bit rusted n worn, i just had to loosen/tighten the screws and then grab the lamp on eithr side and push/pull it into position . the screws no longer really adjusted it, they basically just allowed me to just it by hand. hope this help
