Ok, so I have 6000k 35w HID's on my Z. The lights are very bright but the lamps are aimed down. So they don't really do me any justice. I tried turning the screws on each side and it doesn't really help much. I have the headlight aiming kit for the car. Two sets in fact. But to me, it's just a bunch pieces of plastic that I have no idea how to use. I've tried to find directions on how to use it, but nothing comes up. If anyone happens to know how to use this kit I would REALLY appreciate your help. Thanks! - Jon :gotme

As far as I know the headlight aiming kit comes in two parts, one part with each car and one part at the dealership. Sorry cant help you on how to use em, never have tried.

The two different pieces go together, then you puth the suction cup on the light, at that point the nipples in the glass mate with the dimples in the plastic. put them on both sides, use the pump trigger to activate the suction cup. The idea is to block the deflection of light in the glass and just use the cut-off for aiming purposes, and also the factory uses a machine along with these to properly aim the lights, but a wall about 50 feet away works just fine. Make sure the light is clean otherwise it wont suction to the lense, it may even take a few times to suction to the lense as well.

If you guys need pics, I can make soome when I get home tonight, but when you start playing with them, its pretty easy to figure out.

To OP, The screws to the center of the car on each light, those move the the light up and down. The outer ones move them left and right. It may be possible that the mechanism is foobar, but it may just need some pb and tlc.

@nissanfreak12. Thank you very much for your help and quick response. I'll try to adjust the screws again. The problem is, the person that sold me my Z stripped them somewhat, so I don't want to strip them even more. But i'll try that out. But, It would be a HUGE help if you posted a pics on how to use the aiming kit. Thanks again! :dblthumb:

FYI, the head lamp aiming adapter in our cars are useless without the other sensor half. They are used in conjunction with Nissan dealer tools/light sensors for aiming the lights. Just use a wall 30-50' away on level ground and adjust to your required height

Ok, I have a sort of dumb question. But it would be very helpful if someone could. From what I understand, the screws on the top corner of the light are what aim the lights up and down. And the ones in the center, though that hole, aim them left and right. Does turning the screw right (tightening it) make the light go higher or lower? And does tightening the screw for the direction make the light adjust left or right? Basically I need to know which direction to turn the screw in order to adjust the lights.
