I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the headlight height. I bought these "HID" lights and the beams are way too high. hardly any light hits the pavement. most of it lights up the rear of peoples cars and road signs. if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.thanks.

Because you did not indicate otherwise, I am assuming an S13. Run a search for the FSM on here, it's around. What you want is on page EL-29.

there are 2 headlight adjusting screws on each headlight, one on the bottom and one on the side. Use these two to adjust it. Best idea is to pull it up to a wall. Also make sure u have the spring connected on the opposite side.Matt

does anyone have any of these screws laying around? I tried to adjust mine and they are stripped and rusted pretty bad.

I think my extras aren't that great either.

You can try to sand down the edges and use a wrench/ratchet to get them to adjust.

If you are just doing up/down, you can try playing w/ the rod that connects the motor to the headlight (rod locked by 2 nuts).

You can probably ask dantech how much they are new (since the only other way you can get these is buy whole used headlights).

EDIT: You may be able to rig your own w/ a long screw and some nuts & washers. If you take your assembly out, you will notice it's just an "all-in-one" of the stuff I mentioned. You just need to get it out of the headlight assembly so you can match the length/thread.

Do you have an H4 conversion kit with HID's in it? If thats what you have, maybe you need shields that prevent unfocused glare you're experiencing.

Here's what I'm talking about https://www.casperselectronics..._Code=

Kragen sells headlamp adjusters under the helpers sections.

I swear, when I get my behind out of school I am going to get an extra set of headlamps, housings, and pop up motors. Then I can develop a set of headlights the way I want them
