First off, I baked them to warm up the gooey seal. (I removed everything I could from headlight assembly before baking to minimize harming rubber seals.) Then removed the lens from the base:
I then found the culprit, a little box like structure had unsnapped and released the ball it once held. It was probrably pulled to hard and just snapped out.
The 'box':
Where it came from:
I had to unscrew it off of the shaft:
Then snapped it back in the box:
I then reassembled everything and all seems to be working fine, now I just have to wait until dark to align the beams.
Just a note: The turn signal lamps must be removed first to get to the 2 final bolts holding the headlights on. The FSM isn't very detailed (I almost started to remove the bumper trying to find a bolt that holds the turn signal lamps on), to get them off remove the one screw on top and pull with a little might and they pop right off (there like knuckle sockets).
