If the insides are indeed clouded, it's because the seal isn't doing it's job.

I doubt it's the lens seal. It's more likely your bulb/harness seal. Did you retrofit your bulbs?

If it's the actual lens itself that is fogged, then just get some plastix or 3m Scratch remover (works on paint and plastic) and it will clear them up nicely.

The easiest thing to do is buy new lenses. It's not going to be cheap, but you won't have to fuss with finding the leak.

The next option is to take off the lenses and check the seals around the bulbs. If they are just not seated well, then there's your problem. If they are damaged, replace them. If they are snug, then the lens probably has a leak somewhere else.

The best bet would be to put them in the sun (off the car) with the opening on top and let them dry out. Reinstall them, and see if the problem comes back. If not, be happy and post your results.

If it does happen again, dry them out, then figure out where the moisture is coming in. You could plug up the bulb hole and submerge the lens in water. Please do this AT YOUR OWN RISK. I doubt anything will fall apart because of the water, but I don't want you coming back and yelling at me for suggesting this.

When you submerge it in water, look for bubbles. This will show you where you need to seal. Obviously, you'll want to look for other holes besides the bulb holes just incase there are other ones.

Clear RTV Silicone will probably do the trick if you have a seal leak (where the plastic lens attaches to the rest of the housing).

they make cleaner for head light lenses, i dont know how well that stuff works. at our dealership we have a kit that is provided by WYNN's automotive products and it does a great job. you can try using auto polish like you would use on the car and work it like crazy and if it improves then you know thats all it is. it is like the clear coat on the lens get rubbed off or wears off and causes this.

I've used a 3M plastic cleaner from NAPA that did great!!!!It does say on the label that it can cause cancer, so you know it's strong!!

I used plastX before on my Saab. did a good job. I think any product on the market for this issue would help. If it is outside.

Is it outside or inside?

You ALL need to read better. The OP said the foginess looks like it's on the inside which means a condensation problem (unless he pulled a sneake and burned some angel eyes in there).

None of the products you guy mentioned address INTERNAL foginess.

...just because it looks like the fogginess is inside, doesn't mean that it is...Everybody thinks that its inside until they clean it with the aforementioned plastic cleaners.

If he cleans the lens and it's still foggy, then a re-seal might be in order...or just upgrade to 06 lights.

I like this line of thinking. Where's my set?
