Is there a way to change how long the headlights stay on after the car is shut off? Searched the owner's manual and found nothing - just that the delay is for 45 seconds. The headlights stay on way too long after shutting off the car.

I'll ask about this the next time I take it in for scheduled service/maintenance. I'd prefer the lights didn't stay on at all or 15-20 seconds max. after I shut it off - really, I don't see this as very useful feature in most drivers' cases. It should at least be adjustable. Thanks for the suggestion.

You could just turn the light lever to the "OFF" position and your lights won't stay on.then when you get back in your car turn them back to auto...

I turn mine on manually, don't really have a need for the auto function. it's no mission to turn my lights on
