Took the headlamp relay module out today without removing any auxiliary part, it was tight removing the two plugs below the module but with lots of patience and a long flat screwdriver I was able to remove it without breaking anything.
I opened the module anf found the reason for the intermittent problem with the headlamps was, cold solder connections on the relays.
There are a total of 4 relays, which I resoldered liberally also soldered all the other connections on the circuit board. The contacts on the relays were also cleaned with a very fine(1000) grit sand paper and then sprayed with contact cleaner.
Reinstalling the module was a bit tricky, but with the right tools, and some patience I got it back in, total time to complete the project about an hour. Cost to me 0$.
To do this requires some special tools and a knowlwdge of soldering techniques.
I have some pictures I took, I will try to upload to my computer and post tonight.
