I have a 1996 Hard body SE. Driving to work and the headlights went out. I checked the fuses and they were good. Changed out the headlight switch at the column and still no headlights. I'm not sure where to go from here. Any clue?

Check out the factory service manual at www.nissanservicemanual.com for a breakdown of where the headlights get their power and ground.

Possible ground. Try unplugging a headlight - turn the headlight on -take a test light you should have power at one contact. One is low beam, one is high beam the other is ground. Been awhile If I remember right the ground wire is attached to the radiator support. Something you could try - If you have power at the low and high beam, take a ground wire find a good ground source on the body and attach the other end on the third wire on the headlight plug. If your luck is like mine you might have two bad headlights. Good luck

zack.

Check the fusible links (attached to positive terminal connector) as well
