I am going to be replacing my headgasket. The only question I have is there are so many different sizes. I've seen 86mm, 86.5mm, 87mm, 88mm all which have other options of thickness for choices. I've found the thickness I should use but can't find nothing on the 86-88mm. I have stock bottom end. What size should I be getting? thanks guys.

If you're not boring the cylinders out, go with an 86mm. That's the stock size.

Thank you that is what I thought but I wasn't sure. Still new to all this engine internals and stuff. So I know this sounds dumb but I wanna double check. Boring the cylinders would mean I would be getting bigger pistons? As in stock pistons are 86mm and if i upgraded to 87mm pistons I would bore the cylinders out to 87mm correct? sorry for sounding dumb but I am just now getting into doing research on engine internals.

You're correct. Go to howstuffworks.com There are entire articles on how engines work. Read through those, and then modifications are nearly common sense as long as you understand basic physics.
