WEll I picked up my 240 on saturday..stock 92 hatch with 205xxx kms...So i get to drive it for like 15-20 mins and I'm hearing these noises coming from the motor when there is a load on it...so I glance down at the temp gauge and its showing normal temp..the noise starts getting louder so I figure I should pull over and check it out real quick..so i put it in neutral and begin to slow down to pull over and the car dies..when I pop the hood, steam just starts pouring out..anyway long story short I check the oil and its below the low line...check the coolant and there isn't any!! so I go buy some oil and coolant..try to start it and it won't start..it seems to be turning over real easily like there is no compression..so anyone have some insight on where to start looking for a problem?

no it ran very smoothly with no smoke which is why i didn't think to check the fluids before i left and my friend was driving behind me for the first five mins of the drive and he said a little smoke came out when i first floored it but cleared up right away

i did not notice any coolant in the oil but with little to go off i couldn't tell

i added 1 quart of oil which brought it up to the cross hatch area on the dipstick and it took a whole gallon of coolant...once i turned it over some coolant flowed into the reservoir

Do you have an external leak somewhere? Also I hope you didnt open the cap when it was hot, even though nothing was in there this time, you could get severly burned.

I ave a friend who was severely burned from that. His entire right arm up to his neck. He nearly died from the infection.

From what you are describing, I wonder if one or more of the head studs let go. Sounds like the gasket must have failed in every cylinder for the engine to be turning over that fast. Or there's internal damage which wouldn't explain the loss of coolant outside the engine.
